Admiralty Lodge has 18 luxurious beach front apartments overlooking the Mercury Bay and Buffalo Beach in Whitianga, New Zealand. It is the only Qualmark rated Five Star Motel in Whitianga and the Coromandel Peninsula. Admiralty is the winner of TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2015 for consistently achieving outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. Additionally, the motel is perfect for both sightseers & adventurers as it is a short drive away from Cathedral Cove which is a haven for sea-kayaking and the natural spa experience of Hot Water Beach.

Search for the Perfect PMS

In 2012, Admiralty Lodge’s owner, Ambuj, a hospitality industry veteran with over 3 decades of experience realized the need of a cloud based hotel management system for his motel. He did not want Legacy PMSs that came in with bulky servers and exorbitant costs. As he came across eZee Absolute, he realized that it was not only feature rich and operability top-notch, but it was perfect for a small motel like Admirality. Implementation and Training was a breeze

The entire set-up process of the system along with adequate staff training was completed in three days after which the system was completely operational and the motel was ready for its very first day. The highly configurable nature of the system made it possible to assign tailor-made changes to suit the motel’s needs. “We had a lot of custom configuration requests and they were diligently addressed by Snehal, our Account Manager from eZee. Till date, all support requests are attended immediately which is highly commendable” - Ambuj.

24x7 Online Support

Over the last 3 years, the motel has found eZee to be an extremely robust system and in case of any issue, 24/7 online support is available to assist the staff and solve their concerns.


All the features of the PMS can be accessed centrally through one single platform. The management can access the system from any workstation they want to without incurring costs of additional software licenses. It manages all the resources dynamically depending on the motel’s activities, which means that the PMS adjusts according to the motel’s needs instead of the motel adjusting to the system which makes it easier for the management.

Online Distribution

eZee is extremely versatile and has comparative reporting capabilities that makes it a natural fit to collaborate with online channels for real-time room inventory distribution. The motel also uses eZee Centrix, online hotel channel management system with which it can easily connect and distribute online room inventories in real time. This has enabled the hotel management to control rates and distribute inventories from a single dashboard while being plugged in to the global channels. The motel’s room rates fluctuate and occupancy has to be monitored all the time. eZee Centrix ensures that allocations to various online channels are facilitated in real-time. eZee has eliminated all sorts of rate parity and double booking issues and has enabled the motel to manage rates and availability on a real-time basis.

Future Plans

The motel has implemented eZee Absolute and eZee Centrix at their new motel, Bailey’s at the Beach in Whitianga. Bailey’s at the Beach is the oldest motel in Whitianga and was acquired in 2013. The hospitality group has also started a restaurant recently and is implementing eZee’s restaurant POS there.
